Pavilions, 2008

Pavilions is a collaborative work that took the form of an urban intervention developed and located in three adjacent buildings in Moravia, a deprived sector in Medellin. Calling attention on the limits of public and private space and to re-construct social tissue were among the issues addressed in this project. The output was a series of curtains in three different colors produced by a group of leading women of the inner community, which were meant to cover the seined glass windows of each flat to give a kind of temporary identity to the blocks through the color. But not only the work had to to give a new semblance to the buildings during three months, but had also to be useful for the inhabitants, while helped to foster the economical activity of the people living there.
